These are partial logos of Old Beijing, namely, the old shops and brands for tea, silk, food, theatres, traditional medicines, restaurants, clocks, clothes and etc. I paid a visit to the place where all these logos can be found. It's called DaShi Lan'er. This street could be the most interesting one.It was cold and windy yesterday, luckily, sunny. I caught headache in wind when I came back home. It's worth seeing so many shops and stuffs down the old street. Da Shi lan'er is about 300 square meters big, just in front of Zheng Yang Men, which locates at the north of Forbidden City. It used to be the market (not the super market) for ordinary Beijingers in Qing Dynasty. For now, it's been a good sites for tourists to pay a visit, seen from which people could see the shadow of the Old town.
Loads of fancinating sites to be found in Beijing.

I have two daughters who were born in China. One is 13 now and the other is 6 years old. I am always eager to learn more about their homeland.
Hi Rachel,Your photos of Chinese Architectural elements is very worthy and something other's might miss.I'm sure there are examples like this all over China that need to be preserved and photographicaly documented. In your review you commented on a vase design representing unity.I love Chinese analects because they are very wise...here is an analect composed by me: diamonds, princess, opium, banker, cathay.
Thanks for your blog...Tom Hardy Australia
